Drumming can be a pretty expensive hobby, especially when it comes to electronic kits. With the Debut Kit, Alesis seek to make electronic drumming a little more attainable. This is a complete, one-shot solution for young drummers aged 5 to 10 that are itching to play an electronic kit, as well as their parents. In the words of Alesis: 'This is no toy', so you can be assured of solid quality and a fully functional drum kit that doesn't cost the Earth.

The Alesis Debut Kit

This kit includes a total of four 6" pads fitted with mesh-heads and three 10" cymbal pads. Three of the mesh-head pads function as the toms while the fourth serves as the snare, and one of the cymbal pads functions as a hi-hat while the remaining two can be used as a crash and ride, two crashes, or two rides. The mesh-head tension can be adjusted as needed so you can tweak and refine them for a more natural feel and response, and both a hi-hat pedal and kick pedal also come included. In fact, you don't actually need to add anything, since this kit even generously provides a drum throne, set of sticks, and a pair of headphones.

The Alesis Debut Module

Essentially the brain of any electronic drum kit, the module should never be overlooked. And here, Alesis have stacked 10 classic and modern sounding kits into the Debut module, each backed up by 'Dynamic Articulation' to ensure a more realistic playing feel. You also get the pick of 30 songs and rhythm exercises to play along with, but if you prefer a more customised experience, then you can simply connect up your smartphone, laptop, tablet, or playback device of choice to the fitted AUX input and play along with your favourite tracks.
